Redefining Darkness recording artists Detherous recently returned to town. The tour was suppose to be in support of a brand new album. But alas... Undeterred, these good Canadian boys still killed it every night and were eager to chat. We caught up with vox/axe Damon MacDonald. We discussed the response to the previous "Hacked to Death" album and the not so glamorous life on the road. The Numero Uno topic of discussion on every Metalhead's mind right now is the controversial issue of the Pantera reunion. It seems to be a very polarizing issue. One side is claiming "No Brothers, No Pantera". While the other is looking forward to it. So we decided to go over all the ifs, ands or buts. Which includes if this is a "tribute" act or not and the participation of Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. Also, following up on last episode, The Satanic Panic seems to be alive and well. RAM alum Casket Robbery were taken to task by a Tennessee church. Where's Geraldo? The 'Wolff are a cool Canadian trio heavily influenced by the early 80s HR/NWOBHM with a modern flare. So when they recently came through town we jumped at the opportunity to turn a Wednesday night into a Saturday night! As we pressed "record" on this episode, it was July 1st. Or Canada Day. Unfortunately, with the events of this year we haven't been feeling very patriotic. Over the years, the legendary Sex Pistols have become a polarizing topic. The Pistols are Punk rock trailblazers. But the outfit have had their sheer of critiques over being a marketing ploy to sell the latest "punk" fashion. As well, vocalist Johnny Rotten has come under fire for betraying his punk ethics in his later life. Regardless of the yays or nays, it cannot be denied that the Pistols story was one hell of a ride. The FX channel recently were brave enough to tackle the subject in a six part mini series. So we tore into it and are ready to share our thoughts.
